Use of the works and content
Terms of use
These terms explain how the texts, research, images, sculptures and other content presented on Emili Solé’s website may be used.
They are intended to facilitate consultation, quotation and respectful sharing of the work without turning the website into a general license for reproduction or exploitation.
1. Scope of these terms
These terms apply to use of the website and its content. They do not replace any specific license or notice that may accompany a particular image, document or other item.
Nothing in these terms restricts uses permitted directly by law. Where a statutory exception or limitation applies, it will prevail according to its own terms.
2. Original content and third-party materials
Unless another source is identified, Emili Solé is the author of the texts, research, photographs, sculptures and other original content he publishes on the website.
The website may also include images, documents and references from libraries, museums, archives, Wikimedia, Wikipedia and other sources. Those materials retain the authorship, legal status and terms of use that apply to each of them. Their presence on this website neither gives Emili Solé rights that he does not hold nor changes an existing license.
Before reusing third-party material, consult its record, caption or source reference. The fact that a work is old, appears on Wikipedia or comes from a public institution does not in itself mean that every reproduction may be used without conditions.
3. Consultation and personal copies
You may freely consult the website and save or print copies of its content for strictly personal, noncommercial use.
These copies may not be circulated as your own publication, made systematically available to others or used to obtain a financial or professional benefit.
4. Links and social media
You may link publicly to any page on the website, provided that the link is not misleading, does not conceal its source and does not suggest a collaboration, endorsement or relationship that does not exist.
You may also share a page link and the preview generated by the website or the social media platform. This permission does not allow an image to be downloaded from the website and republished separately.
5. Brief quotations
Brief passages from the texts may be reproduced for comment, analysis or quotation, provided that their length is proportionate to the purpose, Emili Solé is identified as the author and a link to the source page is included in digital publications.
A quotation must not alter the meaning of the passage or be presented in a way that could cause it to be mistaken for the views of the person reproducing it.
6. Teaching, study and research
An educational, academic or research purpose does not in itself grant general permission to reproduce complete works or content. Quotations, illustrations for teaching and other uses allowed by applicable law may be made in accordance with their requirements and limits.
Prior permission must be requested for any reproduction that goes beyond those limits.
7. Photographs, videos and representations of works
Rights in a sculpture, in a photograph depicting it and in the physical copy of the work are distinct. Owning or being able to view a sculptural figure does not in itself confer rights in the sculpture or in photographs published on this website.
Images and videos may not be extracted from the website to create catalogs, image archives, galleries, publications, videos, products or other standalone content unless permission has been granted, a specific license applies or there is a sufficient legal basis for the use.
8. Photographs taken by owners of sculptural figures
Anyone who lawfully owns a sculptural figure created by Emili Solé may photograph it in their own nativity scene, collection or space and share those photographs for personal, noncommercial purposes.
Where reasonably possible, Emili Solé should be credited as the sculptor. This permission applies to photographs taken by the owner and does not allow reuse of photographs taken by Emili Solé or published on this website.
Prior permission must be requested for commercial, advertising, editorial or promotional uses of those images, without prejudice to uses permitted by law.
9. Uses requiring permission
Where no specific license or statutory limitation applies, prior permission is required to:
- reproduce or publish complete images from the website outside the circumstances permitted above;
- use works or content for commercial, advertising, promotional or editorial purposes;
- include them in products, catalogs, books, magazines, audiovisual works, exhibitions, databases or repositories;
- transform them, crop them substantially, remove marks or credits, create derivative works or change their context in a way that affects their meaning or integrity;
- use them to attribute to Emili Solé a collaboration, sponsorship, endorsement or position that he has not expressed.
Requests will be considered individually. Permission will cover only the content, purpose, medium, period and territory expressly stated.
10. Text and data mining and artificial intelligence
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Emili Solé reserves the rights concerning reproduction and extraction of his content for text and data mining, the creation or expansion of datasets, and the training, fine-tuning or evaluation of artificial intelligence systems.
This reservation does not affect uses that the law permits without authorization and does not extend to third-party materials beyond the rights held by their respective owners.
11. Authorship, integrity and context
Every authorized use must respect the authorship, integrity and context of the work. Signatures, captions, credits, rights notices, documentary references and source information must not be removed.
Works created by others may not be attributed to Emili Solé, nor may content modified by another person be presented as his original work.
12. Enquiries through the Contact form
The Contact form may be used to send comments and request information or permission.
Sending an enquiry and receiving a reply do not conclude an order or bind either party.
13. External links and services
The website may link to pages maintained by institutions, documentary sources, bibliographies, audiovisual platforms and other external resources. Each resource belongs to its own operator and is governed by its own terms.
Emili Solé takes care when identifying and linking sources, but does not control later changes, availability or the continued operation of third-party websites. You may use the Contact page to report a broken link, incorrect attribution or rights concern.
14. Availability and possible errors
The website is offered as a cultural and artistic project in development. Its content may be expanded, corrected, reorganized or temporarily unavailable.
Emili Solé endeavors to provide accurate and understandable information, but the presence of a factual error, an outdated link or a technical interruption does not in itself guarantee the continued availability of any content or service.
15. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended to reflect changes to the content, operation of the website, editorial decisions or applicable law. The version available on this page will be the version relevant to each use at the time it is made.
Where particular content is subject to a specific permission or license, that permission or license will retain its applicable scope.
Last updated: 3 November 2026.
16. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are interpreted in accordance with Spanish law, without prejudice to any mandatory rules that may apply because of the user, territory or subject matter concerned.
Any dispute will first be addressed in good faith through direct communication. If it cannot be resolved, jurisdiction will lie with the court determined by applicable law; these terms do not require the waiver of any venue or rights that the law makes mandatory.
17. Contact about uses and rights
Requests for permission and general enquiries about use of the content should be sent through the Contact page.
Formal communications concerning rights, privacy or legal matters may be sent to info@emilisole.art. Please identify precisely the work or content, its source page and the proposed use.
