Nearby in a sheepfold, a group of shepherds, including Jaume, known for always carrying a lamb on his shoulders, was preparing a meal when they heard cries coming from a nearby stable. Curious and concerned, they left their flock and approached to see what had happened. Upon arrival, they discovered that Mary had just given birth. The shepherds were deeply moved by the scene before them.
Jaume, feeling inspired, decided he must make an offering to the newborn child. He looked around and chose his finest lamb, the one he always carried on his shoulders, as the perfect gift. Still holding the lamb, he approached Mary and Joseph, explaining his story and why he wanted to offer his lamb as a gift. Mary, with a smile full of gratitude, accepted the offering and thanked Jaume for his act of kindness and faith.
